Governor Walker approves more than $2.2 million for project at Outagamie County Regional Airport

Governor Scott Walker today announced a $2,251,705 construction project to expand the general aviation ramp at the Outagamie County Regional Airport in Appleton.
Andrew Trimble, airport development engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the ramp expansion will provide additional tie-down parking for aircraft and access to more hangar space at the airport.

- Federal Aviation Administration = $1,933,664
Construction is underway and scheduled to be completed by the end of 2013.
Outagamie County Regional Airport is one of 98 facilities included in the Wisconsin State Airport System Plan (SASP). The airport is classified as a commercial service airport, supporting regularly scheduled year-round commercial airline service and a full range of general aviation activity to domestic and international destinations.
