November 19, 2013
Crews working on the construction of the new US 51/Marathon County U and K interchange in Wausau are closing the southbound US 51 passing lane beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20. The lane will remain closed until noon Friday, November 22.
The closure is required for modifications to the alignment of the southbound lanes under the County U bridge. Crews will install temporary pavement and move the temporary concrete barrier.
Motorists are reminded to drive with caution as they approach the work zone. Some delays may occur during peak travel times. Motorists may want to allow extra time for travel or use alternate routes.
