I-39/90 and WIS 11 (Racine Street) interchange, Janesville, set to open

November 22, 2013

Slow down, be alert and drive with caution

The I-39/90 and WIS 11 (Racine Street) interchange, in Janesville, is scheduled to open to traffic today. The $10.6 million project converted the cloverleaf interchange into a diamond interchange with two, multi-lane roundabouts at the ramp terminals. These roundabouts, approximately 200 feet in diameter, can accommodate large trucks and oversize/overweight trucks that use the highway.

For more information on how to navigate the WIS 11 (Racine Street) interchange roundabouts, visit the project web site.

The project was completed on schedule and on budget. Some final work will occur into early December and in the spring, with minimal traffic impacts.
