Heavy snow to impact Monday morning commute

February 17, 2014

A fast moving winter storm will bring heavy snow to many counties in northwestern Wisconsin overnight. The snow and wind is expected to significantly impact travel, especially during the Monday morning commute. A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for many counties in the region until at least noon on Monday.

The Wisconsin State Patrol, along with Division of Highways, will be monitoring road conditions throughout the night. If you must travel in the morning, check winter road conditions before leaving home by calling 5-1-1 or visiting Wisconsin 511 online.

Winter driving tips can be found on WisDOT’s website.

Road condition and other updates will also be posted on Twitter.
