Public meeting scheduled for WIS 138, Dane County

February 17, 2014

Meeting to focus on the existing conditions and operations of the corridor

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss the existing conditions and operations of the WIS 138 corridor between US 14 and Hoel Avenue/Silverado Drive in Dane County. The meeting is scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 20 in Oregon High School (commons area-200) 456 N. Perry Parkway, village of Oregon. There will be a brief presentation at 6:15 p.m.

The purpose of the study is to develop a long-term plan for the existing corridor and to address safety, access, and mobility concerns. The WIS 138 study will identify where improvements can be implemented on an ongoing basis as resources permit.

The public is encouraged to attend the open-house meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display. Comment forms will be available to gather input and assist the project team in identifying problematic locations. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, contact Project Manager Franklin Marcos at (608) 246-3860, or franklin.marcos@dot.wi.gov. Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to Franklin Marcos, WisDOT SW Region, 2101 Wright Street, Madison, WI 53704.
