Public meeting scheduled for WIS 76 work in Winnebago County

Meeting to focus on preliminary design concepts and public comment

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region is announcing a public involvement meeting to discuss preliminary design concepts for a proposed improvement project on WIS 76 from US 41 to County JJ (Breezewood Lane) in Winnebago County. The meeting will be held on Thursday, March 6 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the second floor conference room at the Winnebago County Highway Department, 901 West County Road Y, Oshkosh, WI. A brief presentation is scheduled for 5:15 p.m.

The purpose of this meeting is to review and gather comments on preliminary design alternatives for the project. Improvement alternatives for the intersections of WIS 76 with County JJ, County G, and County GG will be presented, along with project schedule and traffic impacts.

As a convenience to the public, the meeting is being conducted in an open-house format. WisDOT staff will be available to discuss the project details and obtain input from the public. Persons with information regarding privately owned utilities, drainage facilities, or structures that encroach into the highway right-of-way are encouraged to attend this meeting or provide comments.

Members of the public who are unable to attend the meeting or would like more information can contact Project Manager Bill Bertrand with WisDOT at (920) 492-5708. Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to Bill Bertrand, WisDOT NE Region, 944 Vanderperren Way, Green Bay, WI 54304 or emailed to Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Bill Bertrand at least three working days prior to the meeting.
