March 7, 2014
Project update: The start of construction on the I-39/90/94 bridge deck replacement has been postponed to the week of March 17 due to weather conditions. The project remains scheduled for completion by September, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region.
This project consists of bridge deck replacements on the Interstate.
Three lanes of traffic in each direction will be maintained in the work zone during the daytime. Nighttime lane closures will also occur. Eastbound and westbound off-ramps will be closed and detoured.
Detour route for westbound I-39 to southbound US 151 ramp closure:
- Vehicles will use the northbound US 151 exit, proceed north to the County C interchange, exit at the County C ramp, make a left-turn to go over the bridge, turn left at the southbound US 151 on-ramp, and proceed south on US 151.
Detour route for eastbound I-39 to northbound US 151 ramp closure:
- Vehicles will exit at the US 51 interchange, proceed south on US 51 to the WIS 30 interchange, turn left onto WIS 30, proceed east to I-39 north, take I-39 north to the US 151 exit, and proceed north on US 151.
The project cost is estimated at $2.9 million. The project is scheduled for completion by August 28, 2014.
