Public meeting scheduled to discuss WIS 82 in Adams County

February 26, 2014

Work scheduled to begin after Labor Day 2014

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss this year’s planned work on WIS82 (WIS 13 to the Marquette County line) in the towns of Springville and Jackson, Adams County.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 6 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Springville Town Hall, 3143 WIS 13, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.

The objective of the meeting is to provide background regarding the project’s purpose and need and to answer questions regarding traffic management strategies during construction.

The planned improvements will preserve the existing pavement, while restoring the ride quality to sections of the highway.

The project is currently scheduled to begin after Labor Day 2014. The highway will remain open during construction. Motorists can expect to encounter flagging operations and some delays.

Citizens planning to attend the meeting who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter, may request one by contacting Kristin McHugh at least three working days prior to the meeting.
