The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will begin work in March on 1.1 miles of WIS 144 from Overlook Drive to County NN / Arthur Road in the town of Polk. The project includes the reconstruction of the existing interchange into a diamond interchange along with a new structure over US 41.

All persons interested in the US 41 / WIS 144 reconstruct project are encouraged to attend an open-house public involvement meeting on Tuesday, March 4 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Slinger Village Hall, 300 Slinger Road. At 6 p.m., the contractor will discuss its schedule of operations.

The project will eliminate the loop ramp and improve intersection alignment at County NN. The project will be constructed in three stages with WIS 144 and US 41 open to through traffic. There will be various ramp closures utilizing a marked detour route.
