Public information meeting planned for WIS 13 in Bayfield County

Construction scheduled to begin this summer

A public meeting will be held to discuss plans to replace three existing culverts on WIS 13 between Cornucopia and Red Cliff. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the town of Bell Community Center, located at 22615 County Hwy C, Cornucopia, Wisconsin.

The projects are located along WIS 13. The Saxine Creek and Saxine Tributary project locations are located 3.1 miles east of Cornucopia. In addition, an existing culvert will be replaced at The Sand River Tributary project located 10.4 miles east of Cornucopia. WIS 13 will be closed and WIS 13 traffic will be detoured using County C while the projects are constructed this summer. The work is expected to take approximately three months.

WisDOT staff will be present at the meeting to answer questions. If you are unable to attend the meeting and would like more information please contact Phil Keppers at (715) 395-3027. The meeting site is accessible to wheelchairs. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may arrange for one by contacting Phil Keppers at least three days prior to the meeting.
