Transportation Moves Wisconsin initiative launched

March 28, 2014

Town hall meetings and online options for feedback on transportation funding needs

Transportation Moves Wisconsin is the theme of a new initiative of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). The program is focused on getting feedback from people around the state about transportation needs and how the state should finance those needs into the future.

"Transportation Moves Wisconsin is aimed at giving more visibility to the state’s multimodal transportation system and to engage people around the state in talking about how it impacts their lives," said WisDOT Secretary Mark Gottlieb. "The feedback we receive will be important in the development of the next state transportation budget."

As part of the initiative, Secretary Gottlieb will be traveling around the state to host a series of town hall meetings. All meetings will take place from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with a formal presentation provided at each site at 5:30 p.m. The meetings are scheduled for:

All meeting sites are accessible to wheelchair. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may arrange for one by contacting the WisDOT Office of Public Affairs at (608) 266-3581 or opa.exec@dot.wi.gov at least three days prior to a meeting.
