Construction to start on WIS 171 in Crawford County

April 7, 2014

Work will begin April 21 on the WIS 171 Joy Hollow Bridge near Ferryville in Crawford County, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region.

This project will replace the bridge structure and a box culvert.

WIS 171 will be closed during construction and a detour will be posted utilizing WIS 82 and WIS 27. Local access will be maintained via Copper Creek Road from the north and Stoney Point Road from the south. The construction of the bridge and box culvert will be staged to allow local access to WIS 171 between the two structures.

The project cost, estimated at $730,000, is scheduled for completion by August.
