Work starting on Safety and Weight Facility (SWEF) in Oconto County

Traffic impacts will be minimal

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing construction beginning Monday, April 28 on a Safety and Weight Facility (SWEF) in the town of Abrams.

The contractor is Vinton Construction Company, Manitowoc, WI.

This work will replace and upgrade the equipment currently on site, assisting the Wisconsin State Patrol in enforcement activities along the US 41 corridor. Cost is estimated at $920,000.

Traffic impacts will be minimal with occasional shoulder closures. Work is expected to be completed by mid-June.
