Demolition work for WIS 142 project to begin

April 21, 2014

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will begin overnight demolition work of the I-94 east (southbound) bridge over WIS 142 in Kenosha County.

Demolition is scheduled to begin Monday night April 21 through Wednesday night April 23. The work will require a full closure of WIS 142 under I-94 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The WIS 142 entrance ramp to I-94 west (northbound) will be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

The schedule is weather-dependent and subject to change.

Along the I-94 mainline in Kenosha County, long term closures will remain in effect. Those include a double lane closure on I-94 west from WIS 158 to County E, a single lane closure on I-94 east from County E to WIS 158, and a full closure of the WIS 142 entrance and exit ramps to I-94 east. The closures are scheduled until late fall.

More information about the project can be found at the project website.
