Construction to start on WIS 35, Prairie du Chien

Work is beginning May 5 on WIS 35 between Mooney Street and Washington Street in the city of Prairie du Chien, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region.

This project is a one-mile urban reconstruction and includes the construction of three roundabouts. The work consists of grading, base, concrete pavement, asphaltic pavement, storm sewer, water main, sanitary sewer, electrical, signing, pavement marking, and landscaping. The project will be constructed in four stages. Detour routes will be adjusted to correspond with the constructon staging.

The $7 million project is scheduled for completion by November.
