Public meeting for I-39/WIS 19 overpass structures, Dane County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss preliminary design concepts for the bridge deck replacements on I-39/90 near WIS 19 in Dane County. The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6 in the Community Room of the DeForest Area Public Library, 202 School Street.
The proposed improvements include replacement of existing bridge decks on five structures: I-39 northbound and southbound over the Canadian Pacific Railroad, I-39 northbound and southbound over WIS 19, and the southbound entrance ramp over the Canadian Pacific Railroad. It also includes realignment of the southbound I-39 ramps to create a signalized intersection, and installation of a salt storage building. Construction is currently scheduled for 2017.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the project area will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
