May 7, 2014
Closure needed to erect tub girders
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing an extended closure of the northbound US 41 to southbound I-43 loop ramp at the I-43/US 41 interchange in Brown County beginning 9 p.m. Thursday, May 8 through 5 a.m., Wednesday, May 14. The closure is required to erect tub girders for the I-43/US 41 flyover ramps.
- Traffic seeking southbound I-43 should exit at Velp Avenue, take Velp Avenue east to Atkinson Drive and follow Atkinson Drive north to I-43.
Various other ramps at the I-43/US 41 interchange and the Velp Avenue interchange will have intermittent, nighttime closures over the next month for tub girder erections. Please note, tub girder erections are very weather-dependent and are often delayed. Refer to the US 41 Project website for daily updates of ramp closures. The US 41 Project Twitter and Facebook will also have daily updates and closures for the interchange ramps.
All lane restrictions are weather-dependent and subject to change.
