Public meeting for US 151 Freeway Conversion Study, Dodge County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss preliminary alternatives for the conversion of US 151 from expressway to freeway between WIS 73 in Columbus to the WIS 49 interchange in Waupun. The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on May 20 at the Beaver Dam American Legion Building, 300 Beichl Avenue.

The purpose of this meeting is to present the latest preliminary concepts and to provide an update on the status of the study. The meeting will be held in an open house format with a presentation at 5:30 p.m. The study is in the second of three phases and involves an environmental study document, additional roadway design, and obtaining input from local agencies and the general public. There is no construction planned on this section of US 151 at this time.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this study. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the study on an individual basis.
