Governor Walker approves WIS 187 improvements in Outagamie County

Work starting Monday, June 9

As part of his efforts to create jobs and make sure Wisconsin is open for business, Governor Scott Walker recently approved $877,000 to improve a 1 mile stretch of WIS 187 from Deerview Road to Schinke Road in the town of Maine, Outagamie County, just north of Shiocton. Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, June 9.

MCC, Inc., Appleton is the prime contractor.

Work includes re-aligning and reconstruction of the curves in this one mile stretch to improve safety. The road will be closed with local access only. The detour is WIS 54/WIS 47 (through Black Creek)/County F/WIS 187.

Work is expected to be completed by the end of August.
