June 5, 2014

Work starting Monday, June 9

As part of his efforts to create jobs and make sure Wisconsin is open for business, Governor Scott Walker recently approved $2.4 million to improve a 4.4 mile stretch of WIS 54 from Stump Road in Brown County to Valley Road in Kewaunee County. Construction is scheduled to begin Monday, June 9.

Northeast Asphalt, Inc. Appleton is the prime contractor.

Work includes resurfacing of WIS 54, culvert replacement, frost heave repair, beam guard replacement, centerline rumble strips, and pavement markings. Motorists should expect lane closures with traffic controlled by flaggers during weekdays.
