Work on WIS 33 in Washington County to begin
June 13, 2014
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will begin a resurfacing project of WIS 33 (Washington Street) from Trenton Road to just east of Oak Road in the city of West Bend, Washington County. The work is scheduled to begin Monday, June 16 and to be completed by the end of July, weather permitting.
The work on this project will include a mill and overlay of the asphalt pavement and a replacement of cross culverts. At the Oak Road intersection, WisDOT will also construct a bypass lane on the eastbound lane and a right turn lane on the westbound lane of WIS 33. The project will be divided in to three stages.
- Replace culvert pipes and resurfacing WIS 33.
- Construct the eastbound bypass lane at the Oak Road intersection.
- Construct the westbound right turn lane at the Oak Road intersection.
WIS 33 will remain open to traffic at all times; however, occasionally the road will be restricted to one lane of traffic with moving flagging operation. Access to side roads and driveways will be maintained at all times. Please use caution in driving through the work zone.
