Business 51 (Grand Avenue) milling, paving scheduled in Wausau

June 24, 2014

Construction operations, increased activity will likely create additional delays for motorists

Crews working on resurfacing Business 51 (Grand Avenue) in Wausau plan to begin milling pavement between Kent Street and Townline Road on Thursday, June 26. Asphalt paving operations are expected to begin during the week of June 30.

This stage of construction involves a significant increase in construction traffic entering and exiting the project limits. Motorists will likely encounter longer delays and are encouraged to allow more time for travel or find an alternate route.

In mid-July, crews will begin construction operations between Townline Road and Division Street. The project is scheduled for completion by early October 2014.
