Public meeting set for West St. Paul Avenue salt shed project in Milwaukee County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is holding a public involvement meeting to discuss the construction of a new salt storage shed in the city of Milwaukee, Milwaukee County.

When: Thursday, July 10 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Where: WisDOT SE Region Milwaukee office, 1001 W. St. Paul Avenue, Wisconsin Room, Milwaukee, WI 53233

Construction for the West St. Paul Avenue salt shed is currently scheduled for summer of 2015.

The project involves constructing a salt shed on a public lot underneath the Marquette Interchange. The project is intended to improve freeway maintenance response times during winter storm events. The purpose of the open-house meeting is to inform the public of the plans for the proposed salt structure. WisDOT’s project team will be on hand to answer questions and to receive comments.
