Superior-bound motorists will be restricted to a single lane
The Minnesota Department of Transportation in Duluth has announced that the I-535/Blatnik Bridge over the St. Louis River between Minnesota and Wisconsin will undergo a routine bridge inspection beginning Monday, July 14.
Superior-bound traffic will be restricted to a single lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, July 14 through Thursday, July 17 and Monday, July 21 through Thursday, July 24.
A vehicle width restriction of 10 feet will be in effect during the project.
All lanes will be open for the morning and evening peak travel times.
Motorists are asked to be patient and drive carefully near the work zone areas.
The Blatnik Bridge undergoes a comprehensive inspection every two years to help ensure the bridge remains a reliable and safe freight movement and transportation route.
