Meeting planned for WIS 55 improvements in Kaukauna

Project begins at Lawe Street and ends at US 41
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public involvement meeting for work planned for the proposed reconstruction of WIS 55 (Delglade Street) from Lawe Street through the US 41 interchange in the city of Kaukauna, Outagamie County. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 14 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Kaukauna Municipal Services Building, 201 W. Second Street, Kaukauna, WI 54130, in the Community Room. A short presentation is planned for 5:15 p.m. Construction is scheduled for 2017.
The project includes:
- Reconstructing WIS 55 from Lawe Street through the US 41 interchange ramps
- Upgrading the WIS 96/WIS 55 intersection with traffic signals
- Constructing roundabouts along WIS 55 at County OO, Maloney Road/Gertrude Street, and the US 41 northbound and southbound ramp intersections
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide comments concerning this project. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions on an individual basis. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will also be on display.
