Meeting to focus on proposed improvements to the intersection
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to the intersection of WIS 47 (Richmond Street) and County OO (Northland Avenue) in the city of Appleton. The meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m., Tuesday, July 29 at Highlands Elementary School, 2037 North Elinor Street, Appleton, WI. A brief presentation is scheduled at 5:15 p.m. Construction is planned for 2017.
The proposed project includes:
- Reconstructing the intersection of WIS 47 and County OO to a multi-lane roundabout
- Adding dedicated right turn lanes along Mason Street at the County OO intersection
- Upgrading traffic signals at the County OO intersections with Mason Street, West Service Road and Bennett Street
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide comments concerning this project. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project and answer questions on an individual basis. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will also be on display.
