Meeting to focus on proposed improvements to the intersections
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northwest Region in Superior is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the proposed improvements to the intersections of US 8/County K/Norway Street and US 8/US 63/Maple Street in the village of Turtle Lake, Barron County. The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29 at the Turtle Lake School, 205 Oak Street, Turtle Lake, WI. The meeting will follow an open house format.
The proposed project includes reconstructing the intersections of US 8/County K/Norway Street and US 8/US 63/Maple Street to modern roundabouts to address safety problems and improve traffic flow.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
