Public meeting for WIS 27 Corridor Study, Monroe County

July 28, 2014

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public involvement meeting to discuss the study of WIS 27 from Interstate 90 to westbound WIS 71 in Monroe County, including a segment through the city of Sparta. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Sparta Community Center, 1000 E. Montgomery Street. A brief presentation will begin at 5:45 p.m.

The purpose of the study is to identify ways to preserve the functionality and maintain safety along this corridor. The goal is to identify and plan for long term safety and operational improvements and access management strategies to preserve the corridor in its current configuration for as long as possible.

WisDOT and study team staff will be available before and after the presentation to answer questions, explain exhibits, and provide additional information regarding the project.

Wheelchair accessibility is available at the meeting site. People who are deaf or hard of hearing may request an interpreter at the meeting contacting Kevin Ruhland with MSA Professional Services, Inc. at 1-800-446-0679 prior to August 8 by dialing 711 for the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System.
