Governor Scott Walker today announced a $157,895 project to begin an airport terminal building
project at the Reedsburg Municipal Airport.
Michael Gabor, airport engineering specialist with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the project will complete space planning of the congested terminal area complex and will help determine the needs for a new public terminal building and hangar. Additionally, future street and airport utility requirements will be determined.
- State = $3,948
- City of Reedsburg = $3,948
- Federal Aviation Administration = $150,000
The design project begins in the summer of 2014, with possible bidding of the terminal in 2015.
Reedsburg Municipal Airport is one of 98 facilities included in the Wisconsin State Airport System Plan, which makes it eligible for state and federal funding. Airport improvement projects are administered through WisDOT’s Bureau of Aeronautics.
