Resurfacing work on WIS 33 scheduled to start August 11

Project limits from La Crosse/Monroe County line to Cashton

Work will begin on Monday, August 11 to resurface 8.5 miles of WIS 33 from the La Crosse/Monroe County line to WIS 27, near Cashton. Work will also include replacing several culvert pipes along the highway.

WIS 33 will remain open to one lane of traffic during construction with periodic flagging operations.

The $2.2 million project is anticipated to be completed by September 19, 2014.

Motorists can use the state’s 511 Traveler Information System online or by dialing 511 on their phone for the most current information on lane closures, incidents, and road conditions.
