WIS 64 project begins August 18

Billings Avenue expected to close for 5 days in Medford.

A resurfacing and bridge maintenance project will begin August 18 in Medford in Taylor County. The project is expected to extend the longevity of the roadway and improve traffic safety by replacing the current distressed roadway, upgrading guardrails and signs, and installing center and edge line rumble strips.

The entire project is projected to be completed by October 28, 2014.

Billings Avenue will be closed between Wheelock Avenue and WIS 64 for 5 days beginning August 18 for approximately five days.

 Daytime, single lane closures will be used through the majority of the project. Drivers should expect delays and be alert for roadway crews using flags to direct traffic.
