Closure planned for WIS 47 over US 41

US 41 will remain open

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is announcing a full closure of WIS 47 northbound and southbound from W. Seneca Drive to Evergreen Drive in Outagamie County on Monday, August 18 from 5 to 11 a.m. the bridge deck is being poured at that time. Please note this closure is weather-dependent.

Motorists will need to seek alternate routes during this closure.

The $4.2 million project will raise the clearance under the bridge from 15 feet to 16 feet 9 inches minimum – this is the last bridge along US 41 in Outagamie County to be raised. The bridge deck is also being widened from 39 feet to 39 feet 11 inches and the lanes are being reconfigured to add a separated bike/pedestrian lane. Work is expected to be completed in October.
