Meetings with property owners were conducted in small groups by project section to discuss the proposed right of way and access.

Meetings with area farmers

The Dane County Planning Group hosted information-sharing meetings with farmers along US 12. Dane County officials met with US 12 affected farmers in fall 2000 in a series of meetings at Roxbury and Springfield town halls to brainstorm ways to reduce agricultural impacts due to the US 12 project. The farmers were invited to a follow-up meeting on January 24, 2001, at the Springfield town hall.

A list of helpful hints PDF (12 KB) was distributed to farmers as a reminder of the kinds of impacts highway projects may have on a farming operation and to assist farmers in their discussions with appraisers and real estate negotiators.
