April 28, 2005 - Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) conducted an alternatives solutions workshop in Stoughton.
January 2004 - PIM to present the preliminary results of the US 51 Needs Assessment (NA).
2003 - WisDOT conducted three workshops for the needs assessment portion of the study.

Advisory committees

Two separate committees will help with the alternatives analysis and identification and implementation of short-term improvements. These committees have been meeting approximately once every two months since February 2005. Recommendations from both committees will help WisDOT make decisions on the corridor's future.
