US 51 corridor, south segment - schedule

Early 2003 - February 2004 US 51 Stoughton to McFarland Needs Assessment (NA)
Since February 2005 through 2008 WisDOT has been studying alternatives for addressing the problems identified in the NA and has initiated environmental studies for the US 51 corridor, south segment corridor study. Work continues on the studies.
2009 Public information meetings (PIM) and preparation of a draft environmental impact statement (DEIS) will take place.

Alternatives to addressing the short-term problems will be developed and potentially implemented as opportunities and resources are available. No major construction projects are planned at this time.
