Marquette Interchange

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has launched mchange.org to inform the public and assist drivers during the four-year reconstruction of the Marquette Interchange.

Interactive features available on mchange.org include:

  • Map-it routing. This interactive mapping tool allows drivers to map their route into and out of downtown Milwaukee. The program provides the quickest route to a downtown destination from the freeways, using alternate routes when needed during the project. The feature may be used to access directions now for any stage of the construction project.
  • TrafficBug. TrafficBug sends traffic alerts directly to a person's computer. Alerts will include advisories on travel performance, lane closures and general travel information such as crashes and other incidents along a user's selected route. Site visitors can also sign-up to have specific travel advisories and other information e-mailed to them.
  • Traffic information map. Other traffic information including current travel speeds, video stills from WisDOT freeway cameras, and traffic incident information can be found from the site's traffic information section.

The project will be constructed from 2004 to 2008. Two lanes of through traffic will be open in all directions during construction.
