News release: WisDOT schedules US 41 public information meetings

October 17, 2002
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) district office in Green Bay has conducted two public information meetings regarding proposed improvements to US 41 in Oconto and Marinette counties, from Oconto to Peshtigo.

The first meeting was held at 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 29, in the Peshtigo High School gymnasium, 380 Green Street, Peshtigo. The second meeting was held on Wednesday, October 30, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Oconto Elementary School gymnasium, 810 Scherer Avenue, Oconto.

Each meeting followed an informal, open house format with a brief presentation scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. WisDOT staff members will be on hand all evening to discuss the proposed improvements.

Proposed roadway alignments, location maps and other exhibits were on display to illustrate the project. The proposed improvements extend from Frog Pond Road in Oconto County to about one mile northeast of Schacht Road in Marinette County.

The project is currently scheduled for construction from 2007 to 2009.

Auxiliary aids such as language translation and signing will be made available if requested at least one week prior to the meeting by calling 1-800-238-5575. This number is not a TDD telephone. TDD calls can be placed through the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System (1-800-WI-RELAY or 1-800-947-3529).
