WIS 23 expansion study Environmental Impact Statement

Draft EIS | Location of printed copies

The WIS 23 study Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) has been published. Main sections of the document are available below in PDF format. 

Due to size limitations, not all files have been posted to this site. Printed copies of the complete DEIS are available at various locations for public review. Copies of the DEIS are also available for purchase for $45 plus $5 shipping and handling from the WisDOT Green Bay office.

Public hearings were held January 5, 2005, to give the public an additional opportunity to provide input.

The Final EIS for WIS 23 is slated for publication in late 2006. Following a minimum review period of 30 days, the Federal Highway Administration will release a Record of Decision and the selected alternative may proceed to final design and construction. 

Construction is currently slated to begin in 2013.
