US 14 Cross Plains - History

  • US 14 is part of the larger Frank Lloyd Wright Corridor identified in WisDOT’s Connections 2030 Long-Range Transportation Plan.
  • South side of the corridor through Cross Plains is bound by the Black Earth Creek; an outstanding resource water, a Class I trout stream, and nationally-renowned trout fishery.
    • Class I trout streams are high-quality trout waters that have sufficient natural reproduction to sustain populations of wild trout, at or near carry capacity.
    • Trout Unlimited rated the creek as one of the 10 best trout streams in the country.
