May 2, 2011 – WisDOT announces team manager for I-39/90 project
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is pleased to
announce John Vesperman has been named manager of the I-39/90
In his 25-year WisDOT career, Vesperman, a 1986 graduate of
UW-Madison, has worked as a
Design/Construction Engineer, Construction Project Engineer, Design
Engineer-Team Leader, Programming Engineer-Team Leader, Technical
Services Supervisor, Chief Project Development Engineer, District One
Operations Chief, District One Planning and Operations Chief, and
most recently as the Southwest Region Planning Chief.
Vesperman has been instrumental in the I-39/90 environmental process
and has developed effective local working relationships in his role as
Southwest Region Planning Chief.
Construction for the I-39/90 project is scheduled to begin in 2015.
This project, a 45 mile segment of I-39/90 from the
Wisconsin/Illinois state line to Madison, located in Dane and Rock
counties, is one of the most important transportation corridors in
Wisconsin, and is an integral part of the national Interstate system.
