May 2, 2011 – WisDOT announces supervisor for I-39/90
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is pleased to
announce that John Steiner
accepted a supervisory position on the I-39/90 Project Team.
In his 21-year WisDOT career, Steiner, a 1990 graduate of
UW-Platteville, has worked as a Construction
Engineer, Design Project Manager, Planning Study Project Manager and
most recently as the Southwest Region Contracts Unit Supervisor.
He has supervised his Planning and Design Unit on the WIS
26 project from Janesville to Watertown, the I-94 design and construction
projects from Madison to Waukesha, the US 12 urban reconstruction in Lake
Delton, the US 151 interchange project in Beaver Dam, as well as many more
state system and interstate improvement projects. He recently has
been supervising the final design of the Verona Road interchange
Construction for the I-39/90 project is scheduled to begin in 2015. This
project, a 45 mile segment of I-39/90 from the
Wisconsin/Illinois state line to Madison, located in Dane and Rock
counties, is one of the most important transportation corridors in
Wisconsin, and is an integral part of the national Interstate system.
