July 6, 2011 - WisDOT announces two project managers for I-39/90
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is pleased to
announce that Jim Buschkopf and Jim Oettinger have accepted
project manager positions on the I-39/90 Project Team.
In his 26-year WisDOT career, Buschkopf, a graduate of
UW-Platteville, has worked on several
Interstate projects in design and construction, including the Badger
Interchange reconstruction, the I-94 Corridor from Madison to Waukesha,
and the US 151 Beaver Dam Bypass. He has served as a WisDOT Project
Manager for the past 19 years.
In his 21-year WisDOT career, Oettinger, a graduate of UW-Madison,
has worked as the Southwest Region Bridge Maintenance and Inspection
Engineer. He has experience in construction and design in the Project
Development Section and most recently has been working as a Scoping
Engineer in the Southwest Region Planning Unit for the development
activities of highway improvement projects. Oettinger has served as a
WisDOT Project Manager for the past four years.
Construction for the I-39/90 project is scheduled to begin in
2015. This project, a 45 mile segment of I-39/90 from the
Wisconsin/Illinois state line to Madison, located in Dane and Rock
counties, is one of the most important transportation corridors in
Wisconsin, and is an integral part of the national Interstate system.
