September 12, 2011 - WisDOT announces second supervisor for I-39/90
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is pleased to
announce that Kim Schauder accepted a supervisory position on the I-39/90 Project Team.
In her 16-year DOT career, Schauder, a 1989
graduate of UW-Madison, has worked as a Geodetic Surveys Engineer and
Photogrammetry Supervisor in the Surveying and
Mapping Section for the Statewide Bureau of Technical Services at the
Hill Farms State Transportation Building. Most recently she has served as
the Photogrammetry Supervisor.
She supervised the Photogrammetry Unit and consultants to provide
mapping for the I-39/90 project and the Verona Road interchange
project. Schauder has served as the Surveying and Mapping Consultant
Coordinator. She has worked as a team member for the development of an
implementation plan for 3D Technologies in Design and Construction.
She also assisted in the development of an implementation plan for
Contracted Construction Staking as well as serving as co-author of
specifications and guidance.
Construction for the I-39/90 project is scheduled to begin in
2015. This project, a 45 mile segment of I-39/90 from the
Wisconsin/Illinois state line to Madison, located in Dane and Rock
counties, is one of the most important transportation corridors in
Wisconsin, and is an integral part of the national Interstate system.
