US 41 expansion - Brown County

US 41 expansion, Brown County - interchanges

Eight interchanges will be improved as part of the US 41 expansion project.

County F (Scheuring Road) interchange

Improvements include:

Reconstructing the Scheuring Road bridge over US 41, including bicycle/pedestrian accommodations.
Installation of roundabouts at the ramp terminals and the intersection of Lawrence Drive.
Lengthening of the on-ramps for future ramp metering.
Installation of crash investigation sites on the exit ramps.
Installation of law enforcement pads on the on-ramps.
Intersection of Mid-Valley Drive with Scheuring Road will be a right-in, right-out only.
Bike and pedestrian accommodations will be installed along Scheuring Road from Lawrence Drive through the southbound ramp terminal.

County G (Main Avenue) interchange

Improvements include:

Installation of roundabouts at the ramp terminals.
Lengthening of the on-ramps for future ramp metering.
Installation of crash investigation sites on the exit ramps.
Installation of law enforcement pads on the on-ramps.
Intersection of Mid-Valley Drive with Main Avenue will be relocated from opposite the southbound ramps to become a right-in, right-out only.
Bike and pedestrian accommodations will be installed along Main Avenue from Lawrence Drive through the southbound ramp terminal.

County AAA (Oneida Street/Waube Lane) interchange

Improvements include:

Installation of roundabouts at the ramp terminals.
Lengthening of the on-ramps for future ramp metering.
Installation of crash investigation sites on the exit ramps.
Intersection of Ramada Way may potentially be signalized.
Bike and pedestrian accommodations will be installed along Waube Lane/Oneida Street from Allied Street to Ramada Way.
A storm water detention pond will be constructed in the southeast quadrant of the interchange.

County VK (Lombardi Avenue) interchange

Improvements include:

Installation of roundabouts at the ramp terminals.
Lengthening of the on-ramps for future ramp metering.
Installation of crash investigation sites on the exit ramps.
Bike and pedestrian accommodations will be installed along Lombardi Avenue through the interchange.

WIS 54 (Mason Street) interchange

Improvements include:

Reconstructing the Mason Street bridge over US 41, including bicycle/pedestrian accommodations.
Installation of roundabouts at the ramp terminals and the intersection of Taylor Street.
Lengthening of the on-ramps for future ramp metering.
Installation of crash investigation sites on the exit ramps.
Installation of law enforcement pads on the on-ramps.
Bike and pedestrian accommodations will be installed along Mason Street from Taylor Street through the southbound ramp terminal.
A storm water detention pond will be constructed in the northwest quadrant of the interchange.

WIS 29 (Shawano Avenue/Dousman Street) interchanges at US 41 and County EB (Packerland Drive/Cardinal Lane)

Improvements include:

Construction of a systems-to-systems interchange to provide free-flow movements between northbound and southbound US 41 to and from WIS 29 west of US 41.
Reconstruction of the local service interchange for access to and from the Village of Howard and City of Green Bay.
Removal of Dousman Street between Taylor Street and the west side of US 41.
Construction of a local service interchange at Packerland Drive/Cardinal Lane.
Construction of a frontage road between County J and County EB (Packerland Drive/Cardinal Lane).
Reconstruction of Taylor Street from the railroad tracks through Dousman Street.
Installation of roundabouts at the ramp terminals and the intersection of Shawano Avenue with Cardinal Lane, Dousman Street and Taylor Street, the intersection of Packerland Drive with the new south frontage road, and the intersection of County J with the new south frontage road.
Lengthening of the on-ramps for future ramp metering.
Installation of crash investigation sites on the exit ramps.
Construction of a shared used path on the north side of Shawano Avenue from Pamperin Park to Taylor Street.
Storm water detention ponds will be constructed in the northeast and southwest quadrants of the local service interchange at US 41 and the northwest quadrant of the WIS 29 interchange at Packerland Drive.

US 141 (Velp Avenue) interchange and I-43 interchange

Improvements include:

Reconstruction of the systems-to-systems interchange at I-43.
Reconstruction of the local service interchange at Velp Avenue.
Installation of roundabouts at the ramp terminals and the intersection of Memorial Drive.
Lengthening of the on-ramps for future ramp metering.
Installation of crash investigation sites on the exit ramps to Velp Avenue.
Construction of a new access road to Wietor Wharf Park off of Memorial.
