Project location

WIS 96, County U (County Line Rd./Lock Rd.) - County D (Plum Rd.), in village of Wrightstown, in Brown County.

Project overview

Goal of the study was to recommend a preferred crossing location that meets the existing and future needs for the village of Wrightstown and surrounding communities.

Nearest Fox River crossings are in De Pere (10 miles north) and Kaukauna (six and one half miles south). The WIS 96 bridge not only provides an essential connection for the village of Wrightstown and surrounding communities, but also provides a critical connection to employers, heath care providers and recreational and retail opportunities in other parts of the Fox Valley.

Bridge design to continue through 2014, with construction scheduled for fall 2014.

Study completed 2011.
