This chart visually shows the contrast of alcohol-related crashes, alcohol-related injuries and alcohol-related fatalities from the years 1976 to 2000.

Alcohol-related crashes have dropped considerably (from approximately 25,000 in 1976 to approximately 10,000 in 2000).  Alcohol-related injuries have also dropped.  In contrast, alcohol-related fatalities have remained relatively constant (from approximately 500 to approximately 300).
