Bicycle-related bridge closures and detours

The WIS 153 Mosinee bridges in Marathon County over the Wisconsin River will be closed to pedestrians, bicycles, and snowmobiles during construction. Construction is anticipated from late July 2008 through spring 2010. As one possible detour, head north and use the newly constructed Wisconsin River bicycle and pedestrian bridge, which connects the Town of Rib Mountain with the Village of Rothschild, at River Street Park. The bridge and the approaching paths will be open by June 2008. The bridge will not be open for snowmobiles.
